  1. It's legit ,as a mate bought one yesterday. Very good price. Don't know much about the 700 but I have the 650 and can't fault it. Great when you have a few hunters with the same units hunting same areas as you know where everyone is. Yeah know what you mean Duncs, as when I am at vehicle and need to communicate with the boys in the field it does tend to squeal in Uhf to ute, seem to work when you play with the squelch adjustment to quite it down. Worth having one though. I don't think the stock will last long at that price. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  2. I use a Rino 650 and have uploaded shonky maps on and has been faultless for last few years. Hope that helps HJ. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  4. Yep I agree, only a matter of time till something new comes along and supersedes current model or something even better. At least we have something for now anyway.
  5. Have you updated firmware? I have had mine for at least 2 years and when I first bought it got onto garmin website and there was a firmware update which I downloaded and installed as did a couple of mates that i hunt with and we have been very happy. Polling is accurate as have had to locate one of the party who wasn't familiar with how to use the unit and got lost in a gully and was required to sit put till I found him due to light having faded requiring assistance to get back to vehicle. I just followed gps once I had polled his device. If it wasn't for the unit he would of had to sit it out till morning in winter to find his way out. The rino put me right on him and boy was he grateful as he didn't want to spend night in the cold.
  6. Small flaw that I can live with for what you get. Ovwrall I think they are a great unit.
  7. Ordered Garmin Rino 2 for $599 deal from Johnny Appleseed, to good to refuse especially as you get uhf built in as well. Just waiting for arrival tommorrow via courier. Have the garmin 72 also and has served me well to date but time for unit upgrade.
  8. G'day all , l live in Sydney's south west and have been back into hunting in last couple of years. Mainly hunting southern highlands of NSW for Rabbits and hare and a few deer trips to snowy mountains of NSW especially since aquired R licence to hunt in state forests. Main reason was to get back in the outdoors as grew up on a small farm of the outskirts of Sydney and have missed the lifestyle and the taste of some game meat. Looking to find the odd property near Sydney to go for weekend or day trips. This website looks the goods so hopefully will make some friends along the way. cheers, spiz
