  1. i have too much camo, have used heaps of different stuff like stoney creek, ridgeline, cabelas etc. stoney creek is over everything else i've tried. I own 3 pairs of their trousers, powder dry t shirts, light weight silent series top, a sika top, short gators, a day hunter bag and beanies hats etc. in particular I've owned one pair of trousers and the silents series top for 6 seasons now, and they've taken an abosolute beating in that time. they are worth every cent.
  2. looks good! You haven't got any camcorders in mind?? I've already got a good point and shoot camera, just want some HD videos
  3. Looking for a new video camera for hunting, wondering what sort to get? I want one with good zoom, good enough to get a good picture of a deer couple of hundred metres away. Doesn't need to be awesome, just got an okay picture. nothing that is going to cost me $500+ either! Thanks ben!
  4. thats the one! haha yeah its hard to make the croak loud enough!
  5. This rut I want to do some filming of some big boys down here in Tassie and wondered if anyone has had any luck with a caller?? I saw a video once of a bloke calling a fallow in with a whitetail grunt caller?? If anyone uses one what caller is the best?? Cheers Ben.

    What Knife?

gut hooks are a waste of time if you ask me. Just be more careful with a straight blade, they are get in the way all the time too.
  7. hopefully will have a nice doe on the ground by 8am saturday!

  8. leupold mojaves or vixen aTrecks. anything that has a reputable name and is rated well, and feels confortable should be good. most large optic makers are getting more even every day! just shop around and find a good buy

I've got a zeiss, great choice, if you culd find one in 2.5-8x32?, I think that'd be just that but more suited to a 30-06 than a 3-9x40., but thats just me. :P woudl be lighter too.

yeah but in poor light the 40mm would be better, i'm not backpack hunting so an extra 100grams isn't going to mind me the slightest ha

  9. go on cabelas and order the leupold cascades in 8x42. they are on sale because they have brought out a new model of them, but i garentee you that you won't be disapointed. I got them in January and everyone always compliments how clear they are for a pair of binos under $300. I have a mate who has a new pair of $3000 leica's and they are almost as clear as them!
  10. shot my first fallow stag on the weekend. 11 pointer, its better to start at the bottom than the top!
