When I first started making knives, I used old files and I even made a bowie knife out an old truck leaf spring I found in a paddock. Over the years, I brought a heap of big old saw blades at auctions, they make great knives but they stain easily. Cheers Patrick

Hi, I am not sure where to get stock covers from but prviously when I have want to protect my stock, I have used some camo tape. Its enough to stop scratches where the stock might get knocked about! I hope this may help Cheers!
