  1. You can 1/2 fill a 120L but can’t over-fill a 70L
  2. Helps to narrow down the answers by having your State in your profile info. If in NSW - https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/131178/Safe_Storage_Level_One_-_FACT_Sheet.pdf It includes “receptacle should be mounted flush with the floor and/or wall.” This is to help prevent it from being pried loose. The cops also have to be able to access it to determine compliance.
  3. Balltearer, you have the materials so have a look at a few basic knife tutorials & Knick one up yourself. It’s really not that hard & it will be so much more rewarding to use a knife you finished off yourself. I have a few of these blade blanks waiting for when I have some free time.
  4. Duncs, you’ll have to decide if the effort is worth the reward. Personally, I’d probably just throw it in the tool box & use it as a utility knife. I’ve never been a fan of either tanto style or partially serrated blades.
  5. It has been a while. FarmGirl got that one. One of best looking knives I've made. How's your re-handled skinner going?
  6. I'm sure the label just said "Big Girl's Blouse"
  7. As Jindy said, antler is bone while buffalo, goat & sheep horn are essentially hair.
  8. Black Wolf McKinley 85l is a great pack
  9. For rabbits I don't really have a 'favourite'. Just whatever I have on me at the time. If you are processing a lot of them at one time, a cleaver or hatchet are handy to remove the heads & feet
  10. One of those is on my wish list too. Better deals are available although this one doesn't have the extension tube, you can pick one up for $10 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Olight-M2X-UT-Javelot-CREE-1020-Lum-XM-L2-LED-Brightness-Flashlight-Hunting-Pack-/262714239344?epid=1047549873&hash=item3d2afd2970:g:pTQAAOSwKOJYJVCe
  11. That's not a sat phone. It's a GPS messenger. Some of these require expensive subscription services. what do you want the unit to do?

    Bowie's

Nice work. For me a bowie is a bit unnecessary for hunting. There's not much you can't do with a smaller, lighter knife. Having said that, there's something very manly about a bowie. I have a huge blade in the cupboard waiting for a handle & sheath... one day....
  13. Depends how much room you want... Black Wolf Mantis UL 2 (1.8kg). I have a UL 1 - it's cosy but light & compact https://www.snowys.com.au/mantis-ul-2-hiking-tent Take a light-weight fly to cover your pack.
  14. Just ordered an S4. I hope they are good Duncs - for your sake
