sinbadpaul
Well my son Craig actually got me something useful this year, LOL A nice handmade knife with a fruitwood handle from a small company in Kendal. Will put a better profile on the blade asap, but for the time being im off to scotland saturday for a couple of days stalking so will take it along and see if it can hold an edge. many thanks son . SamHuntVic
Paul you can't receive anything nicer than a knife as a gift. That's my version and I'm sticking to it. Grant.

sinbadpaul
Thanks guys, You are right Grant there is nothing better than a nice knife that can keep an edge, sadly i have to admit to loosing some really good ones over the years, im a bit more disiplined now and double check when the gralloch is completed to make sure i still have it. I will trying very hard to get chance this weekend Joe for sure, weather permitting. You are probably right Duncs but if i go there is a chance of bagging one or two mate. staying at home will cost more with the january sales in full swing. sinbadpaul
just posted the outcome of two days stalking in scotland. Good news is the knife held an edge very well so really pleased with it. I did leave it on the ground though and had to go back for it, It was freezing and i had lost the use of my fingers by the time i had finished.
