  9. I'm in the process of replacing my ridge line mallard jacket and pants, I want something breathable and maybe with vents. I get hot when on the move and don't want to sweat if avoidable. I have my close layers sorted so shells are an option. Not worried about extremely wet conditions just what we get here in OZ. Cheers Waza
  10. Just buy your steel from Sandvik, best quality steel, grades and HT info all available.

  12. Chased a double six point buck all week but not a clear shot for long enough to put him down humanely. Saw heaps of hinds, a few other bucks with smaller heads too. Definitely going back mate I learned heaps over the week.
  13. Wool wash it - no phosphate ! Just Nikwaxed my boots to get the goretex working properly. Hope this works I'm in the Gatta this weekend. Hate wet feet !
  14. I was taking a screen shot of the kmz file and printing these. Some forests I would have five screen shots to cover the entire area with the level of detail I wanted. This was done through google maps but I have not hunted a state forest in nsw since the new system.
  15. G'day & welcome to the forum Hammo. I get up your way and hunt the state forests its a slice of heaven up there. If you are into deer hunting you should have a look at the wonnangatta hunt thread & come along if you can get a pass out. Cheers Waza
  16. I'm in the market for a spotlight hunting kit that can use 18650 rechargeable batteries, which rules out the led lenser kit. I will use this on a HMR 223 & 7-08 so out to about 150m me thinks. Both of the kits are around the $130 delivered. What are your thoughts people ? Cheers Waz
  17. Sorry the rangefinder is on shooting.com.au in the marketplace. Only one on there now it's been used twice. Cheers Waza
  18. I have the leupold TBR RX1000i & it's a great little piece of kit. Easy to use & view the readout. It has true ballistic range capability for angled shots too. There are two on used guns I think for $350ea & that should be a new product. Cheers Waz Ps Has the misses caught any sails from the tinny yet mate ?
  19. Steiner extreme predator 10x42 should pick them up from overseas for a bout $400
  20. There is a bowhunting course being held in August, all the details are on the NSW Game Council website if you don't mind the traveling. Cheers
  21. I got mine off eBay , same weight canvas, flooring etc as the well regarded brands. Super soaked it with a hose and not a drop inside. Cost $ 81.00 :-) You can spend a lot more if you want , but you can make a very comfy camp buying a tarp, tent poles, guides, ground sheet, folding chair and swag for under $300. eBay for the swag & bunnings for the rest. Cheers
