  1. We just use a piece of MDF board and pin a target to it. the projectiles go through it very cleanly and as we vary the target, we get heaps of shots [500+] through the MDF before its stuffed.
  2. I got one from eBay by the brand name KOGAN. This guy does his own importing I believe so it keeps the costs down. They are very well priced and they are multi purpose too. Not only does mine have the nav software, but it will also play mp3's, movies, show pictures and allow you to read e-books. This is all covered by the SD card interface. Put the info on the card, plug it in and your away. Good little nav system too. Showed tracks in the bush I didn't even know had names! If you want more info I can try and find the email address somewhere..
  3. If your after fox's, get a red filter. I have had mine for a years and as long as you have the power to drive the light you should not lose too much distance out of it. The eyes will show from a very long way away. The fox's just cannot see the light. I was sitting on a rise and we watched this fox come right up to us with the light on him the whole time. We were just amazed and it is the sort of thing you really need to see to believe, but its true. Rabbits on the other hand, I find they are a mixed bag, some with sit there and others will scamper straight away. I have not heard about the effectiveness of the orange or green filters though.
  4. I have an Olivion scope, no problems there.. Very good for the price.
  5. Hey Black Bear, is this a 'whoever dies with the most toys wins' thing?? You sure have a collection going on... Have you ever worked out how much you have spent in total???
  6. I have an Olivion scope. Has a nice clear image and a lot of good reports.
  7. From my experience, as long as its polarised and UV filtered they do the job. I have a set by the brand FISH, they work well too. Again, depends on your budget?
  8. I can definitely recommend the Taipans.. Top stuff.
  9. I was lucky enough to keep my taipan boots from the defence force. I have never changed the laces in them yet, but I will have to take note of how its done before I do... I don't know what I will do if they ever wear out!
  10. Yeah I have the Fuji 5600. Takes great pics too. Having said that I would probably look for something more compact to take out on a hunt with me. Out to the range or whatever, the Fuji would be fine, but I like to travel as light as I can on a hunt, so I have been looking at those Olympus waterproof and shockproof ones too. They seem quite good.
  11. Hey all, Maxx, I am in East Gippsland. I have been shooting for over 10 years. I just go for the feral critters... Fox's, rabbits, pigs, etc. Planning a new Pig trip at the moment. Cannot wait. Ciao.
