Jono1
Hi guys, looking at gettin a new pair of binos but don't want to blow the budget to much. Looking at around 500-1000 $. There is a fair bit online but not sure if I should trust them. TIA, Jono
Coily
Go with the brands that offer a lifetime warranty and then choose a pair that suits you personally from a retailer. Best advice I can offer. C
ben338
You will get a decent pair in that price range.
Hosery
I would of said in that price range they won't be entry level. You will get a fairly decent pair. I've got a set of vortex binos. They didn't blow the budget but for me they are clear and spot deer. That's all I need. Worth a look in my eyes.
Onthemark
Vortex Diamondback here.. ~350-400 bux. Crisp and clear.
huntsmart
a few hundred would get you a fairly decent pair. Prices skyrocket form there I reckon and the small gains in low light , clarity etc aren't worth it. Plus I'm pretty shit at looking after my gear. If you have the coin , do a little research get your hands on a few different pairs and pick the ones that feel best to you. Buying from a picture on the net or someone reveiw can be risky often things turn up and are not exactly what you want.
Gibbo 30.06
What huntsmart said..... You need to hold them and look through a few pairs don't just pick a brand and buy online. I have Leupold cascades, there in your price range and I think they are great quality for the money.
Jono1
Thanks guys. Appreciate your help. I have run this purchase via the missus and reckon I will have to cap it at 400, so might have a look at the vortex diamond back and a few others in that range. ben338
For that price range i reckon the vortex will be pretty good. Also look at bushnell trophy which arent too bad and nikon monarchs but they might stretch the budget at the current exchange rate. joefish
For $400 u might find some Nikon monarchs , there a very dependable bino . Or even keep an eye on places like gumtree .
GSPhunter
My mate had some vortex that crapped out big time, to their credit they sent him out a new pair though.
Coily
Anyone got a set of Carson 3D ED Bino's ? Apparently they're not available here but are very popular in the US. I have the opportunity of getting a pair brought back over Christmas. This review is encouraging, ..... http://www.opticsreviewer.com/nikon-monarch-5-vs-bushnell-legend-ultra-hd.html C
Coily
Apparently they are available on Ebay here. At double the price of USA ! I think I'll buy mine there. C
